An Indian Sci-Fi serial which played on Sundays at 9am.
A complete knock-off of Star Trek, it even had an Android called Shakti with a cheesy sticker on his cheek! The villain's name was Zakaku and the captain (Dara?) was played by a guy called Kishen Kant Singh. I remember his name because I once read an article in Target where he joked that his name was actually 'Kishen Can't Sing!'.
Also Zakaku had this old style 'flat' tape recorder on his chest. It was created and directed by a guy called Ramesh Talwar if memory serves...
One of the episodes had this organ-like thing which sticks to your cheek and needless to say a pain to get off...
The episodes did have some space dog-fights... It was funny to hear - Zakaku ke ladaku yaan... which translates to - 'Zakaku's warplanes...' in Hindi!
